Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin returned to Chennai on Monday after a week-long visit to Germany and England, declaring the trip a “successful tour” that brought in 33 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth over ₹15,516 crore.

According to Stalin, the agreements will see investments from ten new industries in Tamil Nadu, while 17 existing companies committed to expanding within the state instead of relocating elsewhere.

He highlighted how meetings with German investors revealed the state’s untapped potential. “For years they were told only about other states. Now they have seen Tamil Nadu’s strengths,” he said.

During the tour, Stalin signed key MoUs, visited the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf, and unveiled a portrait of social reformer E.V. Ramasamy (Periyar) at Oxford University. He also launched two books on Periyar’s legacy at the Self-Respect Movement and its Legacies Conference 2025, reaffirming his government’s adherence to the Dravidian model.

Calling the Oxford moment historic, Stalin remarked, “I went there not as a Chief Minister but as a proud Dravidian and Periyar’s grandson.”

The CM also paid tribute at B.R. Ambedkar’s London residence, engaged with Indian-origin students at SOAS on inclusive growth and youth empowerment, and concluded the “TN Rising Europe Investment Drive” in London.

Stalin expressed gratitude to Industries Minister TRB Raja and state officials for the success of the mission, while thanking the Tamil diaspora for their support.
